SALES ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY: Ace Wire Spring is an industry leader in the design and implementation of custom spring & wire form manufacturing, and out clients include some of the largest companies in North America.  We are seeking an entry-level Sales Engineer to take responsibility for the design and testing of solutions that meet our clients’ needs. In this role, you will manage assigned projects from start-to-finish, including design and documentation of equipment specifications, testing proposed solutions for effectiveness, and presenting proposals to managers and clients.  You will Analyze customer drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare quote for manufacture of springs or wire forms.

SALES ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews customer inquiry to determine feasibility for manufacturing desired part. 

Determines cost to manufacture including material, labor, and overhead expense.

Determines cost of outside plating, heat treating, testing, etc.  to meet customer requirement.

May consult with manufacturing supervision to discuss and formulate cost estimate and resolve issues.

Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates

Develop engineering calculations, diagrams, and technical reports

Complete required technical and regulatory documents

Ensure projects are complete on-time and within specified budget

Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients

Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels

Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management

SALES ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Familiarity with project management solutions a plus

Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office

Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
